Nilus - The Great Within the Small (Chap. 10+)

Mon Jun 30, 2025

20th June

I am now increasingly convinced that the key to understanding the political foundation of antisemitism is to examine anti-masonry in Russia and elsewhere.

America in the 1800s also had anti-masonic movements. It is revealing that a party that existed briefly called The Anti-Masonic Party had anti-elitism as its platform.

On a religious level, the Catholic Pope and the Orthodox Eastern Church attacked Freemasons over several centuries for adhering to “naturalism”, although the Masonic oath usually included a subscription to a “supreme being”. Fair is fair, the Masons in France under the third republic were to be found amongst likeminded anti-clerical factions. In my view, Masonic lodges could be paralleled to workers’ unions which similarly had to exist and hence position themselves in both political and religious conflict structures. Though hardly consenting internally, they overall were a force to be reckoned with (in France, second half of 1800s, first half of 1900s), but not because of some all-powerful secret cabal. Separating state and church was simply a part of the project. Later came political and religious neutrality.

On a political level, they came across to the average voter as an elite above the law. They were not of the people. The Anti-Masonic Party came into existence over the 1826 disappearance/murder of William Morgan, a former Mason who wanted to publish their secrets in a book.

Accusations were of course flying back and forth, and politically, anti-masonic ideas were implicated in an opposition to the powerful Democrat Andrew “The Union must stand” Jackson — Jackson being a Mason, of course.

Великое в малом - Chapter 10

The previous chapters is a selection of sources pointing towards an incontrovertible change coming. In chapter X and the rest of his book, he synthesises these ideas into a whole.

What agreement, almost identity of views and confidence in the expectations of a fatal outcome for the adulterous and sinful world, lying in evil!..

In a universe of predetermination, different laws apply. Sergei has his eyes set on the idea that just as an early rumble precedes the thunder, a cataclysmic event will be preceded by a large event.

Could an event equal in significance to the first one – the second terrible and glorious coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and the end of the old world – have remained without such a prelude?

Biblical indeed. And copying from the Bible he transfers all he can from the fate of Jesus.

But before the second coming of the Lord in glory and the terrible judgment of the Lord, another “in his own name” must come for a short time, i.e. the Antichrist, who, descended from Jewish blood, will become the king and ruler of the whole earth, the Messiah from the house of Dan of that Israel on whom lies the blood of the True Messiah, and whose destinies are still ruled by Pharisaism and scribeism, the sworn enemy of the entire non-Jewish world for life and death?

Somehow Sergei manages to read the entire political satirical aristocratic/conservative manifest of the Protocols and leave with not much more than “Pharisaism”.

If not Marx and Mill should feel slightly offended by that, I would be surprised.

The Protocols themselves does a fine job of countering Marx and Mills in I suppose the optimal fashion: By pointing out the consequences of limited cognisance of the entirety of the political machine and the ease with which financial interests can put a finger on the scales.

It’s odd with Sergei. He could have quoted the Protocols and let it be with that. I can only imagine he gets the tone. Then why is he unable to deviate just once from his eschatological musings?

He quotes Solovyov, back then a famous writer and also a Fool-in-Christ, from a talk about a strange “world council” being in disagreement and hence ineffectual, due to a large number of seats in the council taken by non-Masons.

Perhaps Solovyov is quoted out of context. I can’t say. Time does not permit any further detours.

The essence of the fabric that Solovyov started to weave and Sergei continues is such: On its own, a council will thwart its own ability to act through strife and disagreement. The role of a disciplined lodge is to make sure people toe the party line and dictate the actual politics from above.

SERGEI NILUS

Then the “initiates” decided to establish a sole executive power with sufficient authority. The main candidate was a secret member of the order, the “coming man”

Sergei goes off the rails by further insisting on strictly prophetic business. If the old prediction is that the Antichrist must be accepted by the Jews in some early church history context, then so today.

SERGEI NILUS

But this answer, despite its apparent categoricalness, does not resolve the entire scope of the questions posed above […]: in what way […] is the “mystery of lawlessness” accomplished […]?

This perplexing question is further complicated by the fact that this “other” must be accepted by the Jews as a concentrated, universal force, while this force is still “in dispersion” and still calls itself a “persecuted tribe”; that this “coming man” must become the ruler of the universe, subjugate the entire world, which is still divided into powerful state and national separatenesses, and which itself apparently still stands at such a height of political power that it is not up to some vague native of the international “Ghetto” called Talmudic Israel to compete with it.

Where exactly he gets those prophetic details is a mystery to me.

His words about Talmudic Israel, delivered almost as a side note, probably reflects the sentiments in his milieu at the time.

This manuscript first saw the light of day only at the end of 1905 in the 2nd edition of my book […]. At that time, the all-Russian fire of the so-called “liberation movement” was in full swing, which with exceptional clarity and force justified our confidence in the authenticity of the “Protocols.”

He calls Russia a “maddened Russia” over the desire to have a constitutional government.

Imagine his grief when he realised that not liberalists but Bolsheviks had taken over the country with an even more “heathen” religious creed. He died in 1929, well into Stalins period of power.

The central question for Sergei:

But is sincere repentance before God possible in the modern apostate world?

Can France regret its republicanism? Can the waves of liberalism be rolled back?

Not so in the West, in Europe and its world colonies […]

And finally:

All efforts of secret and overt, conscious and unconscious servants and workers of the antichrist coming in the world are now directed at Russia.

Великое в малом - Part II

This version is the 1911 edition of Великое в малом.

Unlike the 1905 version, the Protocols are not appended in the 1911 edition. Rather, this year, Sergei Nilus ponders over the evolution of things in the passing six years and then he turns to another great warning. He comes to the conclusion that the Protocols have been overwhelmingly correct in predicting how liberalism progresses like an unstoppable force throughout the continents.

More than five years have passed since I published the secrets of the worldwide Jewish-Masonic conspiracy in my book “The Great in the Small”.

How many events have taken place during these years, both throughout the world and in our unfortunate homeland, humiliated, insulted, defeated on the battlefield by external enemies, tormented by internal turmoil, split into parties hostile to each other, confused in its religious and political beliefs […]

You can’t count them all, you can’t remember them!..

Sergei is enamoured with this theory of his about a symbolic serpent taking over the world. I believe the relevant quote from the Protocols is at the end of the 1905 edition of the Protocols:

PROTOCOLS OF THE ELDERS OF ZION

A sketch of the course of the symbolic serpent is shown as follows :

Its first stage in Europe was in 429 B.C. in Greece, where, in the time of Pericles, the serpent first started eating into the power of that country.

The second stage was in Rome in the time of Augustus about 69 B.C.

The third in Madrid in the time of Charles V. in 1552 A.D.

The fourth in Paris about 1700, in the time of Louis XVI.

The fifth in London from 1814 onwards (after the downfall of Napoleon).

The sixth in Berlin in 1871 after the Franco-Prussian war.

The seventh in St. Petersburg, over which is drawn the head of the serpent under the date of 1881.

All these states which the serpent traversed have had the foundations of their constitutions shaken, Germany, with its apparent power, forming no exception to the rule. In economic conditions England and Germany are spared, but only till the conquest of Russia is accomplished by the serpent, on which at present all its efforts are concentrated. The further course of the serpent is not shown on this map, but arrows indicate its next movement towards Moscow, Kieff, and Odessa.

It is now well known to us to what extent the latter cities form the centres of the militant Jewish race. Constantinople is shown as the last stage of the serpent’s. course [*Footnote in book: Note that this map was drawn years before the Revolution in turkey] before it reaches Jerusalem.

I have not been able to locate the map mentioned, but the serpent sounds somewhat contorted if they squeeze in Istanbul right after St. Petersburg.

My history lessons fail me. When I get to that part of the Protocols, I will have to examine each stop the serpent makes to figure out what is particular about those years.

My understanding was that it was about the progress of liberalism and the weakening of absolutism and the divine monarchy, God’s representative on earth (from Sergei Nilus’ perspective, that is). How that fits with the places and dates listed is going to be difficult to establish.

The fact that all the European multi-national empires were losing their grip irretrievably, must have had a major impact on his nerves.

Ottoman Empire

SERGEI NILUS, ВЕЛИКОЕ В МАЛОМ

[…] the advent of the kingdom of the Antichrist, was almost completed by the end of 1905, and the "Serpent" had only Constantinople to capture as the eighth and final stage to Jerusalem, from where the Serpent crawled out in 429 B.C

Sergei is fixated on Jews, that much is indisputable.

So right now, it seems to me that the actual content of the Protocols is and remains primarily political propaganda which I am more and more convinced that our simple fellow, Sergei (who is not a master of irony) completely misses. He is very serious about being horrified by the tireless machinations of Grand Masters and secret societies, and he coils whenever someone uses an occult or Hebrew symbol for anything at all.

Perhaps I need to adjust my rather condescending attitude towards Freemasonry. Until now such boyish proclivity towards secrecy revealed an immature nature, I thought.

All for later.

The matter of Constantinople is this.

Even on the eve of the overthrow and imprisonment of the padishah and the enthronement of the Committee of “Unity and Progress” [CUP] in his place, as a branch of the Jewish-Masonic world kahal, some volunteer politicians pointed out to our confused authorities the majestic power of the padishah Abdul-Hamid, who supposedly dares to do everything and can do everything… And lo and behold - where is Abdul-Hamid?!.. And already in Turkey the first anniversary of the Masonic-Young Turkish constitution was celebrated, and with what? - with the blasphemy of the Jews against Christianity, public, street blasphemy, committed on the streets of Constantinople before the eyes of our “Orthodox” embassy, before the eyes of the embassies of all the European “Christian” great and small powers.

A bit of chronology is in order:

  • 1876: Trouble was stirring in the Ottoman Empire under Abdülaziz reign. It was to be his last year in power and alive. Many changes were stirring in the Ottoman society, and counter to one’s intuition, it was not entirely a matter of the people wanting to free themselves from the yoke of a harsh ruler.

Rather it was a mix of certain groups desiring a constitution and to be involved in decision processes, without relinquishing their identities as Ottomans in the face of European pressure and European political establishment’s wish to dismember the Ottoman Empire.

  • 1876, May: Through a coup involving the Young Ottomans - an ideologically scattered movement desiring constitutional modernisation of the Empire, Murad V was brought to power and Abdülaziz was found with hit wrists slit. This exacerbated Murad’s mental condition, since he himself wanted to and was advised to limit the absolutism of a Sultan with a constitution. Seeing his dead predecessor over the question threw him into depression.

  • The Young Ottomans were in it for the prospect of gaining a constitution, but one founded in Islamic culture. They were secular, but believers in the Ottoman identity. This modernisation process included merging Islamic idealism with liberalism. According to the lexicon, Namık Kemal wrote: “the sovereignty of the nation, the separation of powers, the responsibility of officials, personal freedom, equality, freedom of thought, freedom of press, freedom of association, enjoyment of property, sanctity of the home”.

  • 1876, August: Murad was replaced by the 33 year old Abdul Hamid II who was to hold the reins for another almost 33 years before the next revolution by a new group of young ones: The Young Turks.

  • 1876, December: Abdul Hamid II consented to a constitution written by the Young Ottomans.

  • 1878, February: Abdul Hamid II changes his mind and revokes the constitution. Using the secret police, agitation against absolutism became dangerous.

  • The years 1880-1910 were marked by increasing nationalism in the heterogeneous empire. It was fracturing.

  • Underground groups coalesced into a new movement, the Young Turks link, even more ideologically scattered than the Young Ottomans: democrats, liberals, decentralists, secularists, social Darwinists, technocrats, constitutional monarchists, and nationalists.

  • Once again, their aim was a constitution, which was really their way of trying to salvage the Ottoman Empire.

  • Within the Young Turks the most prominent and dominant organisation was the CUP, Committee of Union and Progress.

  • 1890-1900 saw the steady growth of a network of participants and organisers. It linked with amongst others, Freemasons and cabinet ministers and exiled intelligentsia.

  • 1908, July: Based on a rumour that King Edward VII and Tsar Nicholas II wanted to partition the Ottoman Empire, the organisation kicked into gear and soon a mutiny in the army helped them along.

  • 1908, July 23-24: Abdul Hamid II agreed to reinstate the constitution and hold an election.

  • As the lexicon says, on the streets, people went crazy, “shouting Egalité! Liberté! Justice! Fraternité!, Vive la constitution! and Padişahım çok yaşa! (Long live my emperor).”

  • 1909, March: The 31 March incident link was a short pro-absolutist counter-revolution of mainly Islamists who opposed the CUP’s secularisation process.

The wrongdoings of the CUP involves the Armenian Genocide and other aggressions.

The name “Committee of Union and Progress” is a compromise. Back in 1894 it was “Committee of Ottoman Union” (as this was the single objective the disparate movements could gather around). Enter Ahmed Rıza, who was influence by Comte’s positivism and wanted it to be named “Committee of Order and Progress”

Positivism, constitutionalism and secularisation does not prevent mass murder.

SERGEI NILUS

[…] first anniversary of the ‘Masonic-Young Turkish constitution’ was celebrated

Young Turks were as Masonic as if I went to the pub and had a political argument with someone. That misunderstanding is a pattern that repeats over and over, when anyone unable to open up the narrative of a different group, reduces them to some outer symbols that is easy to recognise instead.

At least now I can see clearly how obsessed Sergei Nilus is.

We are no better ourselves. We have a nasty tendency to attribute genuine political opinion as the result of propaganda.

Sergei’s only concern, the only standard he holds anything else up to is this: Does this ideology promote secularism? Does it bring the authority of the divine monarch into question?

It takes a degree of will power to compare the 31 March incident with “the fall of Constantinople”. Typically Christian End-of-Days speak, I suppose. A city “falls” if it transitions to a liberal constitution and two-chamber parliament.

But as an event that heralded the demise of absolutism? Sure. Just as falling record sales herald the demise of disco.

Rare is the individual who stands to lose his meaning of life, should disco succumb to the tidal forces of the dance floor.

To those rare few it befalls to engage the world in a firestorm by any means. Sergei merged with a river of events fuelling the greatest genocide in history.

Jews had a role amongst those clandestine agitators, but as yet another interest group. Nothing else.

Freemasons? No idea. Reversing the pattern like I did with the Jews… Let me try.

Premise 1: Imagine we say that exclusivity acts as a magnet for people holding positions. Then a “club” like the Masons with quite a reputation and a controlled member list will all by itself become a magnet for powerful people.

Premise 2: Let us also see the world from the point of an illegal, exiled political agitator hoping for regime change in his home country. It would seem only natural to him to add as many powerful men and women as possible to his network of patrons and sympathisers. Statistically some of those (per premise 1) will be Freemasons. Perhaps our dissident will turn the logic around thinking that since so many Freemasons are powerful people, go add as many Freemasons as possible to his network.

This spectacle observed in Optina Monastery some 200 kilometres south west of Moscow could - with a little help - be construed as the Masons causing revolution. Scrutiny not withstanding.

Then he quotes loosely from the existing controversy between Masons and the Catholics.

“Vexilla regis prodeunt inferni” — “Are the banners of the ruler of hell advancing?” — this is what Pope Leo XIII wrote in his encyclical in 1884, warning the Roman Catholic world about the danger of Freemasonry advancing upon it with all its power.

Jesus was not really any different:

JOHN 8:43-44

43 Why do you not understand what I say? Because you cannot bear to listen to my words.

44 You are from your father, the devil, and you prefer to do what your father wants. He was a murderer from the start; he was never grounded in the truth; there is no truth in him at all. When he lies he is speaking true to his nature, because he is a liar, and the father of lies.

Perhaps there’s a basis for putting Rousseau and Locke next to Pharisee and Sadducee philosophy. They are reduced in similar ways by the faithful.

Masons in Italy held their sway:

“Yes, yes!” answered the “Bulletin of Italian Freemasonry” – “La Revista della Massoneria Italiana” (1884, 306 pages): “The banners of the ruler of hell are moving forward; and there is no conscious person who loves his homeland who would not stand under these banners, under these banners of Freemasonry.”

Not a lot of love lost between those two.

Europe wanted out from “under the yoke” of religion. Or people simply found something else to be ecstatic over.

22nd June

The climax of this buildup was in 1905 the Protocols, and in 1911 it is the legend of Adoniram.

Even worse, it is the threshold beyond which it makes little sense to compare the Protocols as a political text with Sergei Nilus’ strange project. The legend interests me, but as a different project for another day.

But until I part from following his footsteps, I will endure, though I will walk as fast as I can.

Legend of Adoniram

The Adoniram story deserves to be analysed independently from all else.

This legend, as an excerpt from the “holy bible” of Freemasonry, became known to Europe from the time of the Crusades, when Western Christianity had to face the secret godless forces of the East and, alas, be defiled by them.

[…]

Read this legend carefully, reader! Only protect yourself from temptation with the sign of the cross: before you the “depths of Satan” are opening up.

I took a nap instead to protect myself.

Furthermore, I allowed myself to disengage from Nilus’ excitable style and instead view it as a counterstory.

To the modern reader, it frankly feels like binge reading a handful of Marvel comics.

The cast consists of elevated individuals having at least plain superpowers. King Solomon is one of the lesser characters.

I don’t know what to think. Were the originators serious? Or is it comedy? Or serious mockery?

Capturing the salient moments in Sergei’s recounting of the legend:

  1. Queen Balkida of Sheeba visits Solomon
  2. She marries him
  3. Solomon reveals he had everything from a master architect, Adoniram the super being.
    1. The backstory behind Adoniram starts all the way back in Eden.
    2. Cain is the offspring of Eve united with Eblis-Dennitsa. Adoniram is a descendant of Cain.
  4. Balkida wants to marry Adoniram instead
  5. Fanor, Amru, Methuselah, three jealous workers join with Solomon to sabotage the ongoing casting of the Copper Sea.
  6. Benoni, a good worker, warns Solomon, but Solomon’s heart is darkened by the strength and goodness of Adoniram
  7. Tubal-Cain calls on Adoniram to visit their ancestors in hell.
  8. Prophecies about Adoniram becoming a people of craftsmen is exchanged between the fiery family.
  9. A final love-triangle plays out between Solomon, Balkida and Adoniram.

All the way through the narration, little room is left for doubt that the sympathy is on the side of God’s opponents and his descendants.

As a counter-narrative, it was bound to irk the Pope.

Solomon, Balkida Queen of Sheba and that other guy

When the report of the wisdom and works of Solomon Ben-David (the son of David) spread to the ends of the earth, in those days Balkida, the queen of Sheba, came to Jerusalem to bow to the great King, to marvel at the wonders of His reign.

As she enters a world of gold and splendours, she is fascinated by the supernatural qualities of everything, including Solomon.

And it seemed to the queen that it was not a man sitting before her on the throne, but a golden statue […]

She herself being magical asks him questions, but Solomon cheats using the help of a priest, and thus he knows the answers in advance. First strike. We start to see that Solomon is not supernatural, only human.

Solomon then shows Balkida, Queen of Sheba, around.

And when they came to the foundations of the Holy of Holies of the temple, then the queen saw in that place the root of a vine; and that root was torn out of the ground and carelessly thrown aside

She scorns him mercilessly.

This vine is sacred: it was planted by Noah, the father of the father of your family. Only the blasphemy of his descendant could dare to tear this sacred tree out by the roots. Know then that the last King of your family will be like the last of the villains, nailed to that tree which should have been sacred to you.

Squeezing in a prophecy about Jesus, since it fits in at this point, the outcome is that Solomon finds his place at her feet.

And Solomon’s heart was inflamed with love under the fire of the eyes of the Queen of the South, and he stood before her as a servant, as a slave before his mistress

They fall in love, but her curiosity is as of yet unsatisfied. She inquires who built it all.

The creator of all this is a certain Adoniram, an unsociable and strange creature. He was sent to me by the good king Hiram, the ruler of Tyre

At this point the whole backstory of Adoniram is revealed as well as the powerful emotions involved in the intrigue between God and his opponents.

The aura of the legend, as observed earlier is not the usual of God versus Satan. That reading is acquired later in the hands of Sergei and the Orthodoxy.

Rather, they are all unfamiliar, strange Gods with animosities that are unfit for a God we can appreciate.

No mortal knows the fatherland, the race, or the tribe of the mysterious and gloomy personality of Adoniram […]

This inhuman personality breathes the deepest contempt for the entire human race, and this contempt is legitimate: he is not of the human race who, like a stranger, lives among the children of Adam

What makes them dark and lonely is something built into the fabric of time: The past.

The same intrinsic logic working in Film Noir and other genres.

Adoniram’s story

Adam was not the father of Cain: Eblis-Dennitsa, the fiery cherub, the angel of light, could not behold the beauty of the first wife without desiring her. And could Eve resist the love of the highest angel?

A completely novel reading of the ancient mythos is rolled out. A drama of jealousy, of ability of craftsmanship. Adoniram is a craftsman. He is complete, free and hence sparks envy.

The soul of Cain, like a spark of Lucifer-Dennitsa, infinitely rose above the soul of Abel

Cain is not a blackened, envious soul as the Bible interpreters tells us. Abel is. Gods own preferred kind are. Cain had no inner conflicts.

Cain was kind to Adam, served as a support for his feeble and infirm old age.

But God, out of jealousy for the genius imparted to Cain by Eblis-Lucifer, expelled Adam and Eve from paradise as a punishment to them and all their descendants for Eve’s love.

Cain and Abel has a sister, Aclinia. She loved Cain, but God forced her to marry Abel.

Adam, created from clay, was created with the soul of a slave; such was the soul of Abel, but the soul of Cain, like the spark of the morning star, was free: and God feared the free soul of Cain.

Soul of a slave versus soul of the free.

This is the voice of liberalism talking now.

Cain slays Abel, but with a twist:

The injustice of Adonai-God, the ingratitude of Adam, Eve and Abel filled the cup of Cain’s patience, and Cain punished his ungrateful brother with death.

Nietzsche’s superhuman is starting to show. Better than the lot, and bitterer in his recluse and loneliness. How can a free soul communicate with a slave soul?

The cruel and unjust Adonai-God, Who already planned to destroy in the future the whole human race of Cain’s free descendants, imputed the death of Abel to Cain as a crime unworthy of forgiveness;

The scales have tipped. Now it is the Adonai-God that becomes the canvas on which we can paint all sorts of envy and hate. The rejected Son of God got his voice and refuted the Orthodox narrative.

(I won’t let myself forget that all I have is Sergei’s claim that this story is central to the Masons. This is actually a part of the complexity of the situation.)

Cain even has a conscience.

[…] in atonement for the grief caused to Adam and Eve by the death of Abel, the son of Dennitsa dedicated himself to the service of Adam’s children, putting into it all his exalted soul, inherited by him from the great cherub. Cain taught the children of Adam agriculture; his son Enoch initiated them into the secrets of social life; Methuselah taught them letters; Lamech - polygamy; Lamech’s son Tubalcain instructed them in the art of smelting and forging metals; Noema, Tubalcain’s sister, who knew her brother, taught them to spin yarn and weave clothes.

Meme-writing and social engineering seems to be an ancient craft. Apparently also the art of polygamy. We clearly see the Devil’s handiwork.

My best guess? Craftsmanship is older inside the mythology of the Masons than liberalism.

Isn’t it in the end good old Marx? The ideology of a power-holding group matches their structural power in society. The guild members once played a prominent role in society. Wouldn’t they develop a singular culture in antithesis to the ideology of other classes?

Adoniram is a direct descendant of Cain, the noblest offspring of Vulcan, son of Tubal-Cain, born to him by his sister Noema.

[…]

Adoniram himself, the creator of the plan and construction of that temple which the pride of Solomon erected to Adonai-God, cruel and inexorable, persecuting from generation to generation, from generation to generation, the free-born children of Cain.

The next paragraph is a complete lesson in psychology of ideologies:

And this son of the geniuses of fire lives sad and alone among the children of Adam, revealing to no one the secret of his highest origin. And everyone, and Solomon in particular, feels fear before him; and so great is this fear that in all hearts it stifles any disposition towards Adoniram, not allowing it to arise. Solomon, tormented by timidity before the mysterious greatness of Adoniram, hates him with all the strength of his immeasurable pride.

“I alone know the deep secret roots of my rare and wonderful skills. I alone know my heritage explaining my genius. I feel lonely. I feel rejected, or rather, I feel my genius rejected. The slave-souls around me will only recognise me as another slave. But I am a master artisan. Hence they despise and envy me.”

Adoniram and the Queen and the triangle

When the great master this creator of so many wonders, appeared before the eyes of the Queen of Sheba […] the queen was shaken in all her being, and she could hardly regain her composure.

Adoniram knows magic.

Balkida wants to gather all the workers to see them. Solomon explains the impossibility of such a feat.

But in response to Solomon’s words, Adoniram climbed up a nearby granite block and stood on it in full view from all sides, and he raised his right hand and marked a horizontal line in the air with his hand, and from the middle of it he lowered a perpendicular, depicting the mystical "Tau".

And in an instant, workers of all kinds of crafts, tribes and dialects began to run to Adoniram from all sides.

The Queen of Sheba cannot resist such a display.

the Queen of the South understood that Adoniram was higher than man. And Solomon understood that his power and authority were pitiful impotence before the power of Adoniram.

Sabotage and disaster

Three worthless workers — a concept which is nowadays quite pervasive, but to a craftsman must have been anathema — unite with Solomon to cause harm to Adoniram.

A certain Syrian named Fanor, “fellow mason”, a Phoenician Amru, “fellow carpenter”, a Jew Methuselah from the tribe of Reuben, “fellow miner” demanded the title and salary of a master.

Adoniram saw through them.

Adoniram refused their demand, to which, given their skill, they had no right. And the "fellows" decided to take revenge on Adoniram:

Fanor mixed lime into the bricksprepared for casting the “copper sea”

Amru lengthened the beams under the casting mold and thus exposed them to the fire of the casting and thus exposed them to the fire during the casting

Methuselah collected sulfur from the poisoned Gomorrah Sea and mixed it into the casting…

A good worker is present too…

Benoni that loved Adoniram learned of this betrayal, and Benoni rushed to Solomon to order him to stop the casting of the “copper sea”

But alas, Solomon desires the disaster out of envy.

And the treacherously spoiled mold burst under the pressure of the casting, and liquid fire splashed out of all the cracks of the enormous pool.

And then for the first time Adoniram lost his head for a moment and directed a column of water at the bases of the pool’s supports. Fire and water mixed with each other and entered into a struggle with each other.

[…] it splashes molten metal into the air by the action of its vapors, and it pours down like a rain of liquid fire on the people who have gathered in countless crowds for this unprecedented spectacle, and horror and death are sown everywhere.

Help from the underworld

At this point, when Adoniram is really in a pinch, he is lured away to the underworld by a voice.

And in the depths of the fire, sparkling with a blinding brilliance, Adoniram sees an image like a man, but in his greatness immeasurably surpassing any mortal. And this image approached him and said to him these words:

Come closer, my son, come closer without fear! I have breathed on you and the flame has no power to interrupt your breathing.

Who?

“I am the father of your fathers, I am the son of Lamech, the grandson of Cain; I am Tubal-cain!”

A wonderful exposition of realities now opens up.

Tubal-cain also reveals to him all the base passions of this God, His impotence

A complete vision of his entire family…

Cain showed Adoniram all of his clan who had joined his kingdom before the flood

The prophecy that irks any true Orthodox

Your children, united under your name, will smash, like a vile vessel, the power of the kings of the earth, for they are the representatives of the tyranny of Adonai on earth

This is the crux of things: Adoniram’s lot will try to wipe out the anointed kings of the world.

These events are mere shadows of a war between two mighty forces.

Well.

Adoniram is given the Hammer of Tubal-Cain and with that he goes back and fixes the copper sea to Solomons endless chagrin.

And without hesitation Adoniram and Balkida gave themselves to each other.

Et cetera.

The Seal of Antichrist. The Beast Number 666

We can salvage the important part: Conflict between Sergei’s God and the Mason’s God. Prophecies at play.

What matters is the intrigue, the psychology, the plot.

This last chapter is dedicated to exegesis on occult symbols.

Without the images which have been lost in the digital version I am reading, they make little sense.

Sergei presents a solid mix between Talmud, Kabbalah, Gnosticism, Masonic rituals, Islam, Zionism and whatever else he can get his hands on.

All linked together by triangles’ congruence and similar weak associations.

If time should ever permit, I will go back to this final chapter some day on a completely different errand: To examine the mentality behind this rather random association of symbols.

From then on any event in the world can only be understood in this light.

Sir Max Vetcher, a popular English public figure, who has set himself the grandiose goal of “uniting all European states into one great European federation on economic principles,” is currently visiting St. Petersburg

A unified world government? Masons are secretly taking over.

Who does not remember the terrible destruction of the island of Martinique a few years ago [1902]? All the circumstances of this destruction are still shrouded in impenetrable mystery: those who needed it took care of this, so that the disclosure of these circumstances would not awaken the Christian conscience, would not make the believing minds think - after all, it is known that the world Jewish-Masonic union has seized all the main telegraph agencies, the main newspapers of all countries

22nd June — Evening

Tonight I will not make any further progress.

I will stop analysing Sergei’s book for now and focus on the actual Protocols, but in a very new light: Nilus’ own mentality.

Which role it plays is currently a mystery.

95% of the Protocols are not at all occult. Only satirical-political. 95% of what Sergei himself writes is purely on the occult/mystical.

A strange mix indeed.
